58 and CO is an independent, ethical distillery in East London producing gin, vodka and a wide range of spirits. Our Haggerston home is not only a working distillery and production site, but we have a stunning venue where we run public and private events.
We are looking for a Distillery Experiences Manager to take full ownership of this space - running our Gin School, Cocktail Making and Tasting experiences, hosting private and corporate events and managing all customer communication. They will be an ambassador for the brand - sharing our story, finding exciting and innovative ways to showcase our products, creating cocktails, training bar and restaurant staff for our on-trade customers and more.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Bar Manager or someone in the hospitality industry looking for a new challenge within the same field but in a new and unique environment, who wants to make an impact with a growing brand and take full ownership of a venue.
Key responsibilities:

Manage and host 58 and CO distillery experiences including, but not limited to, Gin Schools, Spirits Tastings and Cocktail Masterclasses, on-site and off-site private events and experiences.

Manage all bookings and customer enquiries for public, private and corporate events and experiences.

Developing events, activations and seeking new business opportunities to generate revenue for the distillery.

Manage on-site and off-site brand training for Trade accounts.

Be an ambassador for 58 and CO, sharing our story, representing our values and working collaboratively with the team to grow the brand and the business.

Create innovative and accessible cocktail and drink recipes for all 58 and CO products, new launches and events.

Manage the distillery shop and fulfil online orders, working collaboratively with Marketing to drive retail online and in-store.

Manage and maintain the venue at 58 and CO Distillery, including, but not limited to, cleanliness, presentation, stock management, ordering and compliance.

Provide accurate reporting for the core team and investors, showing growth and profitability of the ‘Front of House and Experiences’ area of the business.
The ideal candidate:
-
A minimum of 5 years experience in hospitality, with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial role.

A desire to take ownership of a venue, make a real impact and grow a brand.

Confidence and charisma to host events, experiences and present to groups.

A love for the drinks & hospitality industry and a genuine interest in distillation and spirits.

Excellent organisation skills and the ability to pivot and prioritise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Experience managing bookings, customer enquiries and end-to-end planning and executing events.

The ability to self-manage and self-motivate, working independently within a small team.

Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.

Competent IT skills - using emails, online booking systems, reporting systems etc.

Operational knowledge of running a bar/venue space - ordering, stock management, health & safety, compliance, food safety.

Experience in reporting - ensuring sales, margin and growth targets are met.

A passion for sustainability - as a B Corp certified business, you will be responsible for maintaining this status.
Non essential but beneficial skills would be:

Experience with Google Suite, Shopify, Zettle, Xero, DesignMyNight / Collins / Tonic, monday.com

Minimum of Level 2 WSET qualifications, with the ability to teach (we are a WSET teaching venue)

Experience creating innovative cocktail and drinks recipes that will showcase our products.

Experience as a spirits educator, presenting tastings and teaching.

Experience managing a retail space.

This is a full-time role based on-site, typically working Tuesday - Saturday with flexible hours due to the nature of the business. Competitive salary dependent on experience.
