Skip dessert - this is dessert. A flirtatious twist on an espresso martini, layered with juicy berry sweetness, coffee creaminess, and a luxuriously silky finish from Olive Oil Vodka. Rich, smooth, and just a little bit naughty.

-
10ml Coffee Liqueur (like Kahlua or Mr Blacks)
- 30ml Strawberry Cordial (make your own or switch out for strawberry syrup or berry liqueurs like Chambord or Framboise)
- 20ml Fresh Espresso
Glassware
Nick & Nora / Coupe
Garnish
Dark Chocolate Shavings or Coffee Beans
Method
FOR THE STRAWBERRY CORDIAL:
Ingredients:
- 190g Chopped strawberries
- 10ml Lemon juice
- 380g Caster sugar
- 100ml Hot water
Makes approx 450ml (enough for 15 serves)
Method:
- Blend the strawberries with the lemon juice until smooth.
- Strain the mixture to remove the pulp, reserving the juice.
- Add the strawberry juice, water, and caster sugar to a pan.
- Heat gently over a medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved - avoid reducing it too far or letting it become jam-like.
- Remove from the heat, bottle, and allow to cool completely.
- Compost the leftover pulp (your garden wormeries will thank you!).
FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake hard until well chilled and silky.
- Fine strain into a chilled Nick & Nora or coupe glass.
- Garnish with dark chocolate shavings, or for a classic espresso martini finish, three coffee beans.
