A Vesper Martini was first introduced in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel, Casino Royal, and is one of the few cocktails explicitly named and described by James Bond himself.
Combining gin, vodka and vermouth this beautiful martini is strong, complex and elegant - just like its namesake Vesper Lynd, the female lead in Casino Royale. We've given the original recipe a slight tweak by using our spirits, of course.
Ingredients
Serves 1
- 35ml 58 and CO London Dry Gin
- 20ml 58 and CO Triple Distilled Vodka
- 20ml 58 and CO British Bianco Vermouth
Glassware
Martini (frozen)
Method
Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until ice cold. Take your martini glass out of the freezer and strain your cocktail. Garnish with a lemon peel (don't forget to spritz the peel and rim the glass!). Serve immediately.
