"A gorgeous aroma of fresh, bright, grassy olive oil yet with clear olive character and richness is deeply impressive. We think this is quite brilliant: would we sip it or put it to culinary use? Probably both, with some cocktail iterations springing to mind also - not least a Dirty Martini of course."
"The nose is delightful and totally delivers on a fresh, high quality olive oil - with grassy vegetal accents which come through on the palate. The sweetness was more pronounced than we expected but there is a fine peppery finish. We would love to make a Dirty Martini with this."
"Clean and clear. The nose is a lovely balance between the spirit and olive oil. Both are present and distinct. Smoothness and then heat from the spirit give an interesting journey on the palate. Accessible vegetal/grassy flavour, well judged and crafted. single-minded in its vision and realization. Not complex but pleasingly focused. A nice idea well put together."
"Bright on the nose with a suggestion of bold olives that are begging to be tasted. This impression moves gracefully on to the palate and is in a blissful relationship with the wheat vodka notes. The vodka has a very long finish, delivering smooth and mouth filling textures of fresh juicy olive oil and a gentle grassy note alongside perfectly balanced vodka notes. A perfect martini in the making!"

MAKING OLIVE OIL VODKA
This CO-LAB started back in 2021 when Carmen & Sarah met and fell in love with one another’s brands, produce and missions to create something delicious and build a community. When Citizens had some ‘homeless’ extra virgin olive that couldn’t be sold due to damaged packaging, Carmen and the 58 and CO team had a vision to create a stunning savoury vodka that would sing in a martini.
Fast-forward, it’s martini girl summer (you can’t move for tomatinis and dirty martins!), we’re 3 expressions in (with more on the way) and we couldn’t be prouder of the product and the teams.
The ‘homeless’ extra virgin olive oil from Citizens of Soil which is then macerated and cold vacuum distilled with 58 and CO’s award-winning Triple Distilled British Vodka. Each batch has been produced separately to preserve and celebrate the character and terroir of the original oil, in the final product.
